Water Baby

I have a water baby on my hands.
She’s always loved it.

As as kid, I took swimming lessons and was uncomfortable and scared in the water.
Fortunately, I outgrew my fear and learned to love it.

I signed Hannah up for swimming lessons this week.

I asked her if she was scared.  She looked at me like,
why would I be scared?
“No, I’m not scared.  I’m exciting to go!”

Parenting lesson of the week:
Don’t assume that my fears are going to be her fears.
Got it.

So, move over Dara Torres.
There’s a new girl in the fast lane.

  1. "I'm exciting to go!" Hahaha- she is so cute! I'm sure she'll be swimming in no time.

  2. Hi there! I'm your newest follower! I really enjoyed looking around your blog. We actually have lots in common, our likes and loves are the same, family, Jesus, sewing and .... :-) Happy Friday!

  3. Hi Tina...I'm blog hopping over from The Girl Creative. Your blog is ah-dorable! And I'm fo sho going to whip a couple of your no-fuss fabric flowers this weekend! That tote bag is super cute too!

  4. You're making me want summer to come!!! And what a cute little water baby you've got :)

  5. That is SO great! We've got Caleb (our 4yr old) in lessons too and he's very nervous about it. He's in his 3rd month of it and still tells me he has a tummy ache when it's time to leave for lessons. I hope he becomes more like Hannah before summer!! She is just too cute, Tina (then & now)!!
